In this opening sequence we first see the glowing of a candle which then goes into the image of a victim, someone that this killer has a fixation on. We do not see the killer and so the audience cannot relate to this killer in any way because we do not know if he is young or old. The image of the girl looks innocent, this is shown by the way she looks; she looks just like any other teenage girl. This story is showing how someone is preying on their victim and this could be out of hate or out of love and this is something that can attract the audience because they can relate to this, the audience may know a time when they have not been able to stop thinking about someone because they hate them or they love them except within this opening sequence we show that the killer is going to far with this hate or love for this girl.
